I looked up my first guitar teacher today only to find out he passed away last year. A genuine inspiration to me and I am saddened to find this out, I tried looking him up on many occasions but to no avail. Turns out I was looking in the wrong place all along.
What I never knew was just how good he was, he certainly kept his ego well away from the lessons. It may have been over 20 years ago but he left a impression that will last my lifetime.
A very belated post for the new year, just so I can at least get a number in the Jan post count.
Well got some excellent gigs lined up, Colour Haze, Rotor, Sungrazer all on one bill should be mind bending.
Wolf People really stood out last year as a good new band, seeing them at Prince Albert, Brighton.
Then we have the mighty Sons Of Otis, a longtime favourite since the templeball album, first time in uk.
When you put it like that, life is pretty good really. Crank up your lava lamp and go and listen to something fucking heavy.
